Getting Ready to Drive
To get the most out of your lessons, be prepared:
WEAR THE RIGHT GEAR
- Comfortable clothes and especially shoes are a must. No slippers, steel-capped boots or high heels please.
- You will need to be aware and alert during your lessons, so do not have a big night out the day before – nor drink alcohol. Tell your instructor if you are not well, as some medicines can make you drowsy and unsafe to drive.
DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE NERVES
- It's perfectly natural to be nervous when learning to drive. But do not worry – just tell your instructor how you are feeling and he or she will know exactly how to help.
FOLLOW THE RULES
- You can still get penalty points before you pass your test – for speeding for example. So come prepared, have thourough knowledge about the traffic laws and regulations and use plain common sense when getting behind the steering wheel.
